How long has Elite Personnel been in business?
Elite Personnel has been in business for over 28 years providing staff to companies and organizations all over the Washington Metropolitan Area.  Several of our top clients have been with us for over 20 years!
Do you provide staff to both for-profit and non-profit organizations?
Yes, we have an extensive list of clients in both sectors and we would be very happy to provide client references.  We assist clients in most industry sectors: construction, insurance, real estate, law firms, accounting firms, government contractors, non-profits and charities, trade and professional associations, to name a few.
How do you screen prospective candidates?
Our candidates are thoroughly screened and tested.  After narrowing down our incoming resumes and referrals, we conduct a phone interview.  If the candidate passes the phone screen, we conduct in-person interviews.  During the interview process we review the candidates job history, career objectives, work environment preferences.  We evaluate the candidate’s communication skills, ability to follow directions!, presentation, professionalism , initiative, flexibility and career goals.  Each candidate takes web-based testing on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Grammar and Spelling, Business Writing, Email Etiquette and Typing.  In addition, each candidate completes a written test in our office which contains a short writing sample, a spelling test, an editing/proofreading test and vocabulary test.
If we decide we want to proceed with the candidate after the in-person interview and test scores are evaluated, we check their employment references.  We call their previous employers for the past seven years.  It is getting harder and harder to get reference information from companies but we are pretty darn diligent about it. 
We only consider candidates ready for client consideration after all of this is done.  Our reputation is the most important thing we have so we guard it carefully by only selecting the very best candidates.
What is your success rate with temp-to-hire and direct hire placements?
We have a very high success rate with temp-to-hire and direct hire placements – almost 98% in both cases.  We are so confident in our direct hire placements that we offer a One Year Replacement Guarantee!

Do you have a large number of candidates available?

We interview everyday and have a large number of qualified candidates who are actively looking for new full time, part time, temp-to-hire, direct hire or contract positions.  We also have a roster of great candidates who are available for temporary assignments on a daily, weekly, monthly, etc. basis.  We know that everyone doesn’t have a positive impression of “temps” but we really do have some great associates who are highly skilled and will work hard.
We make every effort to keep our rates within your budget range.  If we do not believe we will be able to find someone within your budget, we will let you know up front.  We may ask if you are interested in seeing candidates who are outside of your range but who we believe are highly qualified for the position.  It is up to you to decide what is best for your company.
Are you willing to come to my office to meet my staff?
We love it when we have the opportunity to meet with you.  It makes is so much easier to make a great match when see the workplace and meet the staff.
Will I work with one recruiter only?
Although we are a very integrated team, our Director of Client Services, Nicole Hayes-Grim, manages all client interaction.  We find that this limits confusion and makes for a more streamlined process.  But since we all do work together, anyone you speak with will be up to date on your search if Nicole is unavailable (we do have to let her go on vacation!).  We find that this system allows you to have clear communication from us while also having the full resources of the company working on your behalf.
How long will it take to get great candidates?
Although we can’t provide a specific time period to find the right candidate, our clients know that we work as quickly as is reasonably possible.  We don’t take short cuts to speed up the process but we work pretty darn fast.
What is your placement success rate?
Most of our business comes from temp-to-hire and direct hire placements.  Our 98% success rate for temp-to-hire and direct hire placements is a result of the effort we put in to get it right.  We feel comfortable offering a very long replacement guarantee period – a full year – because we are so confident in our placements.
Our clients stay with us year after year because of our successful placements.  A survey of temp-to-hire and direct hire placements for 2012 and 2013 shows that 87% of our candidates are still with employed with the same client.
What are your fees?
We try to make it easier for clients to hire the talented people they need to help their businesses be successful.  We have reduced our direct hire fees for 2015 from 20% to 15% of the starting annual salary - with a One Year Replacement Guarantee!

What happens to my resume?

All resumes we receive are reviewed by our staff.  We call the candidates who have the qualifications we are looking for our specific job orders.  Since our job orders change frequently, it is a good idea to re-apply if you haven't heard from us after a couple of weeks.

We receive a large number of resumes everyday so please be patient.  It can take a few days before a recruiter has an opportunity to review your resume.

Is there a fee?

We do not charge candidates for anything.  We charge our clients for our services.

How does it benefit me to work with elite?

We have a large number of really great clients in the Washington Metro area.  If you are looking for a great job at a great company, we can help!  We treat our associates and candidates fairly and with respect.  We get to know you and enjoy working with you.  Unfortunately we can't get everyone a job (wish we could!) but we really do work hard to find the right match for our candidates.

Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of success in getting a great job through?

YES!  Show up for the interview prepared - we send a very specific email with a link to upload your resume, directions to our office, instructions on what to bring, and details about the interview.  Read the email!  It makes a great impression on us when it is clear you have done so.

Dress appropriately. Candidates who tell us that they will dress right for the "real interview" never get an interview with our clients.  We are the "real interview."

What positions does elite offer?

We offer temporary, temp-to-hire and direct hire administrative and office management positions. 

Temporary positions are exactly what they sound like - they can be short-term or long-term but they are not intended to become full time positions (although it often does happen that a "temp" job turns into a "real" job!)

Temp-to-Hire:  Some of our clients prefer to hire using this mechanism.  You will most likely interview with our client, and assuming they like you and you like them, you start work for them but you stay as our employee for the first 500 hours.  After you have worked for 500 hours, you are eligible to become our client's employee at any time.  Most of our clients convert people to their payroll very close to 500 hours but the conversion date is entirely up to the new employer.

Direct Hire: Some clients prefer to hire candidates directly.  You would interview with the client and, if they decide to make you an offer, you would become their employee right from the beginning.
